How to Spot Hormonal Imbalance in Women

Female hormones are responsible for many incredible things. They are the vital component responsible for women healing from injuries faster than men. The downside is that as the follicle shrinks, it leads to permanent hair loss.

Infertility on the female’s side. If the hormones interfere with the ovulation process, there will be minimum chances of getting a baby. Furthermore, the hormones could be signaling your body not to produce a thickened uterine lining. One of the causes of hormonal imbalance is the polycystic ovarian syndrome.

Trouble sleeping. If your estrogen and progesterone levels are too low; you will have a hard time sleeping. These two hormones are essential in having a good nap. As women approach or are in the menopause stage, their ovaries produce less of the two hormones. When the levels are low, it is impossible to sleep peacefully through the night. Moreover, low levels of estrogen will mean more night sweats. You will need professional help from a specialist who will restore the estrogen and progesterone levels. You can try using cotton sheet and wearing cotton pajamas because of the night sweats.

Period problems. When on your period, be assured that your hormones are not balanced out. After your period, the estrogen and progesterone levels will gradually rise. When the estrogen levels are reasonable, you will ovulate. Once the egg is released, the estrogen levels will reduce. On the other hand, the progesterone will increase and prepare the body for fertilization. Such hormonal shifts lead to mood swings and irritability. It is essential to find out more about the imbalance brought by the connection between your hormones and period.
